To storm chase or not to storm chase, that is the question...

Doug Kiesling, The Weather Paparazzi

Welcome to the home page of Douglas "Lightningboy" Kiesling, The Weather Paparazzi. This is my personal blog and photo gallery page.

I'm am a freelance videographer for CNN, ABC News, The Weather Channel, Associated Press TV News, National Geographic Channel, and various other television networks around the world. I am also the founder of BNVN or Breaking News Video Network, Inc.

For some of you, now your asking, "what the heck happened to Lightningboy.com?" While some of you are also asking what happened to all of the video that was on WeatherPaparazzi.com?

Answer: I organized everything. All of my video is now hosted on www.BNVN.com and Lightningboy.com and WeatherPaparazzi.com is now merged together into my personal blog page. Any video here is just to tell a story about what I do for a living.

All video sales are now through BNVN.com or my agents at the Conus Archive. So if your looking for the video catalogs that were here, you need to visit http://www.bnvn.com

It has been a while since I updated my personal site so here is a run down.

I'm working on updating the page so I have been posting updates on my FaceBook.com fan page.

Just getting caught up after an insane couple of days.

Just the short version here.  Been working on http://www.BNVN.com stuff and working behind the scenes to finally update this site.    Thursday I had plans in St. Paul from 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and these plans could not be changed and were setup weeks ago.

Just calling it a night, or Day since I was up all night working the tornado outbreak for all the video that has come in.

I stayed home since we had so many stringers out in the field and it was a good thing I did because the videos were coming in all night long.
