Welcome To My Photo Gallery.Welcome to my photogallery. Below you will see the thumbnail images to each various album that has the various differnt topics or styles of photography. 1 This is a collection of Aurora Borealis / Northern Lights Photography that I have take over the years. 2 Ok, here is a collection of stuff that I have taken over the years that pretty much falls in the aviation theme. Some of the images may be duplicated from other galleries. 3 Here is a collection of Bald Eagle photographs that I started to work on. This is an off shoot of the Minnesota River Valley photo album that I thought it should be grouped in it's own photo album. 4 Here is a collection of various cloud photographs. It contains all sorts of different types of clouds from supercells, rain shafts under a cloud base, rain foots, thunderstorms, wall clouds and updrafts. 6 Here is a collection of photos from the Dry Tortugas and Fort Jefferson National Park. I have some very rare photos from inside the Loggerhead Key Lighthouse and around Loggerhead Key as well as on Garden Key which is the home to Fort Jefferson. 7 After taking most of the week off to just doing nothing like in the movie "Office Space", I went out biking this weekend at my favorite place, The Minnesota River Valley. The Minnesota River Valley between Bloomington and Burnsville is one of the best places to go hiking and mountain biking in the metro area and the area has always held a special place for me. Now that the fall colors are out, I put the bike in my truck and hit the trails with my digital camera. Talk about an office with a view... Someone told me recently that I did not have a real job... Yeah sure... Below is a collection of images along the river valley trail. 8 Here is a collection of fall color's photography from around Minnesota and Wisconsin. 9 Here is a collection of some flooding photography that I have done over the past few years that are sorted out by the different events that happened. 10 Here is a collection of photographs that I shot back in 1998. While flying west towards Glencoe Airport from South St. Paul Fleming Field I was not happy because I was flying right into the setting sun. The forecast was for a slight chance of thunderstorm that day. And slight chance was all it took where the towers shot up and I was now orbiting the storm to get to the other side. 11 Here is a collection of photographs dealing with fog. Kind of funny since you can't really see much in the fog but there is some frozen fog, and just odd stuff that I put together. 12 Here is a collection of photographs of the Highway 23 Mississippi River Bridge that connects Benton and Stearns Counties. The photos show some of the damage that can be seen from the river banks along the Mississippi. This bridge is or was built around the same time as the Interstate 35W bridge that collapsed about 75 miles down stream on August 1st, 2007. As of 3/24/2008, this album is still being built. 13 Hurricane Gustav intercept from 08/29/2008 - 09/03/2008 from New Orleans to Houma LA. 14 Here is the collection of photograph's that I was able to take during and after Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans. I did not focus on the still photographs as much as the video since my job was to video tape everything I could during the storm. Hurricane Katrina Photographs From Downtown New Orleans During Katrina, after the storm around New Orleans and the rescues on Interstate 10 and 610. 15 Now, Nine Month After Katrina I Revisit New Orleans for the first time since Katrina devastated the area. I visit the hardest hit area of the 9th ward and see that for New Orleans, Katrina might has been a month ago. The area is destroyed. I also went back around to see how various areas that I video taped during the storm look now. 16 The Interstate 35W Bridge Collapse on 08/01/2007. This is the collection of photographs that I was able to take prior to the whole area being locked down by law enforcement. 17 Welcome to my Lightning Photo Gallery Page. Here you will find my collection of lightning photograph that I have taken over the years. I have sorted the images into several different photo albums. They are sorted by my favorites starting in Gallery Number One and then so on to the end. I also have a special section for the hardest of all lightning to photograph, the daylight lightning. Most of the images were taken from 1995 through 2002, but the gallery has all of the best stuff up through the past storms. The reason most of the images are older was due to the fact that when I started doing freelance video full time for a living, the still photography took a back seat since I was more focused on running video cameras while storm chasing. 18 This is a collection of Lunar Eclipse Photographs from 02/20/2008 that I filmed in Rosemount MN. I have a great place that I know about that is pretty close to home in the University Of MN research farm area. The farms are off limits but the dirt roads that are almost never plowed that look more like something from Colorado, well, there open to the public, if you can get on them. I managed to watch most of the event even with being sick with the flu but I think it was a pretty bad idea standing outside in the minus 5 below temps even with all the layers I had on. Today I will be staying home to recover from the cold/flu thing I got from Tony last weekend at the National Storm Chasers Convention. 19 Here is a collection of above and underwater photographs of the Manatee's in Crystal River Florida. There is a lot of Manatee video in the stock video collection on BNVN at http://www.bnvn.com 20 Here is a collection of photographs that I have taken in the Minnesota Valley National Wildlife Refuge. Most of these photographs were taken from the Long Lake and Black Dog area of the refuge to downtown St. Paul. 21 02/29/2008 - Here is a collection of photograph's from the Minnesota River Valley. This album is a continuation of the Minnesota River Valley National Wild Life Refuge photography that I have been working on over the years. Today I found a Beaver Dam that I'm going to have to watch for signs of life over the next few weeks. Also the number of deer roaming around the river valley was pretty crazy. I counted over a dozen deer running around together like a wolf pack. 22 This is a collection of images that I have taken along the Minnesota River Valley from this year, 2008. 23 This morning I got woken up by Neva to get out the door and go cover the Charter Bus crash that happened on Interstate 94 in Albertville MN. From the reports that I got from the MN State Troopers, there was many seriously hurt and one killed in this crash. The cause of the crash is still under investigation at this time. 24 Ok, here is a collection of stuff that really does not fit in any category but is a mix of all kinds of strange and funny photographs. From the band that I did a ton of Photography for back in the late 90s to random funny stuff along the way on the chase. 25 This is a section that I just started to post the photos from the Paparazzi stuff I have done. I don't do Stalkerazzi but only legit P.R. events. In most cases the still photography is an after thought to the video that I'm trying to get. 26 A collection Albums of photographs that is not weather related but just personal image of us and our friends having fun. 27 Ok, here is a different gallery collection. This is what I call "Road To Nowhere. It is a collection of images on open roads (dirt and paved) where the road goes off into the distance to, well, nowhere. Some of the photographs are during storms while others are of fall colors or open fields with a road going off into the distance. 28 Ok, here is a collection of fun scenic stuff that I have shot over the years. This includes all kinds of stuff out in nature that I have found. 29 Here is a collection of photographs from damage to property that was caused by severe weather and or flooding. 30 Here is a collection of some sun dog or sundog photographs. I also added in a couple of Glory photographs. Sun Dogs are also known as mock suns or parhelia photography. Sundogs are caused by the refraction of sunlight passing through ice crystals and appear at roughly 22° on both sides of the sun at the same elevation. Glory or Glories photographs were taken while in flight. Glories are formed when light is scattered backwards by individual water droplets. 32 In October of 2006, I met up with my friend Rocky from Oklahoma in Upper Michigan. We went up to the very northern parts of Michigan to for the first major lake effect winter storm event. It was more like a frozen tropical storm event with winds coming off the lake over 40 mile per hour. Since the 2006 hurricane season pretty much sucked and was a total bust, this was pretty fun to just get out and play in the wind. Since then, I have been planning several photo projects up along the north and south shore of Lake Superior for the winter and summer severe weather events. 33 Here is a collection of photographs during severe weather where tornadoes were ether on the ground or were in the process of forming. Some of the photos are of wall clouds where everything looked good for a tornado to form then, nothing happened. 35 Here is a collection of Windmills and wind power generating farms or "Wind Farms". 36 Here is a collection of winter weather photographs that I have taken over the years. There is a wide range of winter weather to photograph from auto accidents to scenic themes so I just sorted the images into a few different sub categories. |
